Framework scope

The framework provided by Procurement Services covers the provision of a full range of IT Hardware including new, refurbished and re-manufactured as well as repair, disposal and associated services including support and maintenance. This framework is split into 4 Lots. 

The framework includes, but is not limited to, the following product groups:

  • Desktop PCs
  • Laptops
  • Tablets
  • Thin client
  • Servers
  • Storage devices
  • E-Readers
  • Desktop printers
  • Spare parts and components
  • Networking and storage hardware

Associated services may extend beyond the scope of the goods/services purchased and may include, but not be limited to:

  • End-user support
  • Software
  • Service desk
  • Integration
  • Installation
  • Project management
  • Training
  • Asset management
  • Sanitisation
  • Approved destruction of products
  • Secure data erasure and destruction
  • Secure computer recycling and disposal
  • Auditable trail

Who can use this framework?

Other public bodies will have access to this framework but may only do so with the agreement of the contracting authority. Those organisations who may wish to access this framework will be members, affiliates and associates of the CBC Group, local government authorities, the police service, the fire service, the NHS and NHS trusts, housing associations, third sector organisations, academic centres (including Academies), free schools, publicly funded organisations and publicly owned private companies, operating within the geographic boundaries of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.

The Provision of New IT Hardware Products

The Provision of Remanufactured IT Hardware Products

LOT 3

The Provision of Refurbished IT Hardware Products

Lot 3 allows for the provision of refurbished IT Hardware solutions. Refurbished denotes used IT hardware which has been through a comprehensive process, including repairs, components replaced and quality testing ensuring items are restored to the original specification or higher. Refurbished products are wiped of data and restored to the factory settings and include a warranty. In addition to hardware suitable software may also be procured via this Lot.

LOT 4

The Provision of Repair, Disposal and Recycling Services

Lot 4 allows for the provision of repair, disposal, and recycling of IT hardware. This includes on-site drive erasure, site decommissioning, advise on repairs, residual values and cost-effective solutions. This is all in compliance with all current regulations such as WEEE, GDPR and Government recommended data destruction standards.
