Health care is in demand now more than ever in the UK
Utilise integrated community care

June 16, 2025 in Frameworks
Healthcare demands in the UK for NHS and social care services have reached an all-time high[1], due to a rise in mortality rate. Life expectancy has significantly increased and, in turn, people are experiencing several health issues that can impact day-to-day quality of life and therefore require comprehensive needs. This has led to a strain on the UK healthcare system; funding, staff and resources are limited and must be allocated accordingly.
A government initiative called The Better Care Fund[2], introduced in 2015, encourages joint financial planning between government departments, local authorities and the NHS to enable better integration of care and improved outcomes for individuals who require it. Despite this, according to the UK Parliament website, funding has increased for hospitals, as opposed to areas such as primary and community care services that may also benefit from the additional financial support.
At Procurement Services, we have an Integrated Community Care Equipment and Associated Services (ICCE) framework that can support with sourcing a vast range of care equipment, products and relevant services that can help alleviate the financial and workforce pressure within the UK healthcare system. With access to a wide range of products and services from our awarded suppliers, the framework can support individuals in need of at-home, community, and in-hospital care by enabling a newfound sense of independence for those who may benefit from specialised care equipment.
The framework includes the following 3 LOTs:
- LOT 1: Integrated Community Care Equipment and Associated Services
- LOT 2: Technology Enabled Care Products and Services (TEC)
- LOT 3: Wheelchairs, Motorised Mobility Products and Services
Let’s focus on an innovative approach to supporting integrated healthcare patients as a means for compensating for less funding in community care and instead source the appropriate products and services for individual needs.
