We donated to the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust!
Donating and wearing purple to support families during National Prematurity Awareness Month
November 24, 2025 in Procurement Services
November is National Prematurity Awareness Month, a time to recognise and support the incredible babies and families in neonatal care. This year, our team wanted to show our solidarity and make a difference for those in need.
In support of this cause, our team contributed a collection of donations to the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust. Baby clothing, books and skincare items were just some of the things our team donated. The donations were delivered by our colleague Emma and her family, who kindly helped carry the items and show their support in person. During the visit, Emma’s son Dexter, who received neonatal care in 2018, shared a special moment meeting Helen Ditton, one of the nurses who cared for him. Dexter also got involved in the Trust’s fundraising campaign by removing a sticker from their fundraising ‘Ice Cream’, helping raise awareness for their goal of £250K by April 2026 to refurbish the NICU and update medical equipment.
The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust provides vital support to premature and sick babies, as well as their families, during their time in neonatal care. The Trust funds essential equipment, refurbishments, and family-centred facilities in neonatal units, helping ensure babies have the best possible start in life and families can focus on being with their little ones rather than worrying about practical challenges.
To further raise awareness during National Prematurity Awareness Month, our team wore purple, showing solidarity with all those affected by prematurity. Simple gestures like this remind families that they are not alone and that the wider community stands with them.
We are proud to support the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust and encourage others to get involved. Every donation, gesture, or moment of awareness can help provide premature babies with the best possible start in life.
