We raised funds for the Mental Health Foundation!
Donating and wearing green to support Mental Health Awareness Week
May 14, 2026 in Procurement Services
Mental Health Awareness Week, led annually by the Mental Health Foundation, takes place this year from 11th to 17th May. The event is dedicated to raising awareness of mental health, encouraging open and honest conversations, and promoting positive wellbeing. It highlights the importance of taking care of our mental health as part of everyday life, reminding us to make wellbeing a daily priority. [1]
How we supported Mental Health Awareness Week
To show our support, our team took part in Wear It Green Day, proudly wearing green to help raise awareness and start meaningful conversations around mental health in the workplace. By getting involved, we joined thousands of individuals and organisations around the UK in supporting the Mental Health Foundation’s mission to ensure everyone can experience good mental health.
Taking part in Wear It Green Day allowed us to come together as a team, demonstrate solidarity, and reinforce our commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive working environment. You can see our team in green down below!
Ways mental health can be supported in the workplace
Good mental health is shaped by the environments we spend time in, and awareness alone is not enough – meaningful action is needed. In the workplace this can include:
- Encouraging simple actions of connection, such as checking in with colleagues.
- Creating space for open conversations and listening without judgement.
- Supporting kindness and understanding in day-to-day interactions.
- Taking practical steps that make wellbeing a shared priority. [2]
As an organisation, we’re committed to creating an environment where it’s okay to talk about mental health and ask for support.
